Take Control and Optimise Your Site Monthly
Keeping your website and marketing efforts up to date doesn’t require complex strategies, but it does require consistent effort. Follow these simple steps to ensure your site remains effective.
STEP ONE: YOU ARE BUSY!
Acknowledge that you can't do everything at once and that your website will never be completely 'finished.' Like home maintenance, it’s a continuous process. Prioritise the most important areas first: Contact Information, Products/Services, Staff, Testimonials, and then other sections.
STEP TWO: REGULAR ACTIVITY
Once you’ve identified what needs to be done, allocate some time each week—just 30 minutes—to focus on your website. Initially, this time will be spent updating your site. Eventually, you can use it to enhance and develop its marketing effectiveness. Remember, we're always here to help and advise you.
STEP THREE: LOOK OVER THE FENCE
Keep an eye on your competitors. Spend about 30 minutes a week observing how they communicate with potential clients. This will keep you informed and help you stay competitive.
STEP FOUR: KEEP IT UP
Consistency is key. Don’t let your allocated website time be overtaken by other tasks. Schedule it in your diary weekly or fortnightly. Regular, small updates will keep your site current and effective.
STEP FIVE: REBOOT – RETHINK
If your site hasn’t been updated for a while, try reimagining it from a fresh perspective. Without looking at your current site, envision what potential customers would want to see. This exercise can lead to a more customer-focused and engaging website. We used this approach for our own site, resulting in a unique and effective redesign.
By understanding why visitors come to your site and what they need, you can create a more user-friendly experience that encourages positive customer reactions.
